ZETDC denies implementing load shedding timetable

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has dismissed rumors about a load shedding timetable that is currently circulating on social media since they are yet to come up with a calendar.

In a press statement ZETDC is advising its customer to avoid listening to fake news being circulated on social media that it has created a schedule for load shedding.

“…would like to advise its valued customers that it has not publicized any load shedding schedule and customers should dismiss those that are circulating on social media.”

ZETDC also said it is yet to come up with a load shedding timetable and it will inform the public through traditional media so that they may be aware of the time they will be using power.

“ZETDC is in the process of finalizing the load shedding schedules which will be published in the mainstream media as soon as they are ready, so as to enable consumers…”

The organisation is urging its valued customers to ignore rumors being spread on social media and deeply regretted the inconveniences made by social media.

Of late Zimbabwe has been facing forex challenge which has affected many sectors of the economy.
